INTERNATIONAL ART RESIDENCY RULES

TERMS OF PARTICIPATION
International Art Residency in Luanco
Organizer: [Kinga Woźniak / Galeria Caos]

1. Purpose and Objectives of the Residency
1.1. The International Art Residency in Luanco (hereinafter: the Residency) is addressed to artists from Poland and abroad working in the field of visual arts.
1.2. The main theme of the 2026 edition is “The Art of Feeling”, with a special focus on the welfare of farm animals and the role of art in educational and activist contexts.
1.3. The Residency has a creative and reflective character – participants work individually or in groups, taking part in meetings, field trips, and accompanying events.
1.4. The Residency will conclude with a post-residency exhibition at Galeria Caos.

2. Location and Duration
2.1. The Residency will take place from August 17 to August 31, 2026, in Luanco, Asturias, Spain.
2.2. Participants are required to be present for the entire duration of the Residency.

3. Conditions of Participation
3.1. The Residency is intended for adult artists (18+) actively engaged in the field of visual arts.
3.2. Participants must have a basic knowledge of English sufficient for communication within an international group.
3.3. Applications will be accepted until March 20, 2026, via the application form available on the organizer’s website.
3.4. Candidate selection will be carried out by the organizers based on the submitted applications. Notification of acceptance will be sent by March 31, 2026.
3.5. The selection committee’s decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

4. Organizational Details
4.1. The Organizer provides:

24/7 access to the studio space,

Two painting canvases per participant,

Participation in accompanying events (e.g., field trips, meetings).

4.2. Participants are responsible for covering:

Travel costs to and from Luanco,

Art materials other than the provided canvases,

Accommodation and meals.

5. Participant Responsibilities
5.1. Participants are required to:

Actively participate in Residency activities,

Respect the space, people, and local community,

Follow safety rules and internal studio regulations,

Prepare at least one artwork for the post-residency exhibition.

5.2. The participant agrees to the use of their image and documentation of their work (photos, recordings, descriptions) for the organizer’s promotional purposes.

6. Final Provisions
6.1. The Organizer reserves the right to make changes to the Residency program and will inform participants promptly of any such changes.
6.2. Participation in the Residency constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
6.3. Any matters not covered by these regulations will be decided by the Organizer.
